Awake to the Flow

Do we see the benefit of keeping our focus on What We DO Want? Are we paying attention? We feel more delight in the process as we reach for feeling good and then fun things show up. Have we noticed incidents like these? Continue reading

Building Self Esteem

Some of us may have a habit of thought with some version of “I am not sure I can. I feel inadequate to pull off this next step.”  We may gain value from reading about how one person gained momentum on building self esteem with focused effort in mere months not years. Continue reading

It’s Ok to Feel Strong Emotion

Every human has experienced strong emotion. Why write a post about making it ok? Some of us have been practicing feeling as good as we can as much as we can. We want to spend more and more time in balance and feeling good. We don’t want to feel upset coursing through us and sometimes it does. Many of us have the habit of judging ourselves when we notice we are off track. Let’s build a strong habit of making the human process of growing ok. Continue reading

Open to Self-Compassion

Many of us who are evolving and growing are encouraged to take stock of ourselves regularly and make course corrections. We want to notice our habits of thought and practice ones that serve us more constructively. In this process of unfolding, let’s put lots of emphasis on self-compassion along the way. Let’s make it ok to be just where we are at any moment even in those instances when we catch ourselves with an outdated perspective. Continue reading

The Habit of Appreciation

We have written recently about noticing our emotions. When less than good, pausing and then switching our focus to one that leads toward more relaxation and ease. Gosh sometimes that is not at all easy—even when having distracted myself, taken a rest.
We can prime ourselves toward more resilience if we cultivate appreciating our world—a lot. Allow the good feeling to roll! When we are in a state of cruising along in a good mood much of the time, a dip in attitude becomes some much easier to notice and handle. In that moment of tension, clench, flash of anger etc. that emotion fills the screen of our perception. Continue reading

Notice, Rest, Change the Thought Part I

We are committed to this path of growth. So many of us are following the guidance put forth in these posts and feeling better as we grow. Noticing where our thoughts are running is such a key! If we don’t feel good, we decide to reach toward some glimpse of uplift, feeling better bit by bit. Continue reading

Build Strength from Upset

Those of us reaching for feeling good are building new neural pathways moment to moment. These new pathways represent new strength in our ability to focus.
When we are born, we are guaranteed that choosing our focus will be part of our life experience –we will find ourselves close up and personal with something we do not want. We focus on what we DO WANT so we get more of it. Continue reading

Sustain Focus, Get Happy, Manifest Results

Wow we want to have more personal power! What is the formula? Sustain our focus on Good, allow our spirits to rise and watch as things we want appear.
Many of us have experienced employment situations where a supervisor treated us unfairly and suppressed our talents and recognition of them. We can feel like we have no power to shift the situation—or maybe moving to other employment is the only approach. That is an option. Continue reading

An Intense Mirror

When we bring our awareness to our infatuations and dating, we can learn much about ourselves. What if we took the attitude of “no blame: neither the Other nor Self,” creating a practice of compassion and understanding for all parties. Continue reading
