What if we train ourselves to remain calm in most circumstances and to live life expecting Good. What would it look like? Please read this account as a possible example.

Navine had a birthday coming with “plans”. A dear friend intended to entertain her with a special meal and a few presents. N knew that would be fun. 😊.

This protagonist planned to prepare an apple crisp dessert to the festivity on the morning of the event. Yum.

The morning arrived and our star made her breakfast and addressed the mountain of dirty dishes in her sink. Soon she was ready to begin peeling apples.

Before she assembled the fruit, the phone rang. “Oh my,” said Navine to the host friend, “You have been very ill overnight, did not sleep and you cannot do the birthday plan for today. Oh my, I hope you feel better soon.”

There she was. Suddenly, N had no plans for her special day. She felt steady, open and ready to enjoy.

Hmm. N decided to clean her water filter, a chore that weighed on her mind. It would feel great to get accomplished.

On a break this heroine reached out to another friend P who had often helped her celebrate her birthday. N asked for a walk.

Hours later, P was available to take the walk and they met.

The day was temperate and sunny with some foliage beginning to pop. Together they enjoyed the beauty, the walk and one another.

Toward the end of the trail, P invited N out to dinner as her treat. They parted for a brief break and then P came around to fetch Nadine for the birthday dinner out.

They had such a good time! Th food was good and this eating establishment offered a free dessert to a birthday celebrant.

In joyful enthusiasm, they talked for at least an hour past the eating, sitting comfortably in the restaurant. Then they went home satisfied and contented.

Nadine had not felt a drop in mood nor a stab of disappointment about the cancellation that morning. She felt a calm that she could enjoy this day anyway and not knowing specifically what would happen.

What a demonstration of care being offered her unbidden!

We can flow with life and unexpected treats can show up!

Do you have stories of Good flowing to you effortlessly? Please share your tales and let us all enjoy them.
