Allowing the Universe to Support Us

Something happens that does not please us. An appliance (in this cases tv) seems to have stopped working, and we miss it. What if we let the “problem” sit for a while and see what happens. Wait for some inspiration around it. There is wisdom in allowing the Universe to help us.

Story

Red Ease, 9 x 12, SOLD

Hattie lives in an area where no tv signal could be received unless through a cable service. For this dear woman the investment in paid tv did not provide sufficient pay off—most channels offered unsatisfying programming.

She had used her tv to watch movies and shows on YouTube.

One day to her dismay, Hattie discovered that Youtube did not open on her smart tv. Contacting a friend, an electrical engineer, they walked through the problem by phone together.

After about half an hour, the technically fluent pal found that the Sony company had discontinued supporting that smart tv model (about ten years old). Therefore, that friend seemed to indicate that H would need to buy a new tv.

For Hattie purchasing and setting up a new tv was a big project and not one for which she felt well informed, confident and eager. “Yuck,” thought H in her mind. So she asked the Universe for help and let it go.

In 2024 our star had a laptop on which she could watch YouTube programming and did that. She postponed replacing the tv.

Shift

After about two months, an idea popped in Hattie’s mind. A dear friend had installed Roku on her device more than a year ago and she had never used it. “Why don’t I find out what I can watch on that?” mused H.

This gal contacted the buddy who had installed Roku. One evening he volunteered some phone time to investigate what they could activate and discover.

Within an hour, Hattie and friend had set up the tv such that this protagonist could watch YouTube on Roku! She found another avenue to accomplish her goal on the same tv.

That tv was not “broken” as one might have assumed. One feature had ceased to work.

Take Away

In releasing the “problem” Hattie accessed a solution that she could not possibly have foreseen. Instead of rushing out to purchase a new device, she released it, stayed content, let time pass. Then Voila, the Universe provided an unexpected work around! Wow.

A small example to demonstrate that we can remain upbeat and trust Life.
