In 2007 Janet Pearlman Paintings shifted to work in acrylic applied over a textured surface, returning to a medium she had studied earlier in an earlier chapter of painting. (For the preceding nine years Janet had painted watercolor on wet paper in the style of Rudolph Steiner.)  The work below was created from 2007 through 2014 using acrylic paint over a textured surface on canvas.  Read about the process here in an artist statement from 2012.
